The chord form I call the ‘Swiss Army Knife’ is about as versatile a chord as could ever exist.
It is an easy to grab four-string chord played on the inner strings. There are only twelve notes in our music, and the SAK chord can behave as if it were the appropriate chord for six of them. Six out of twelve!
Pick any key and the SAK could be used as the I, the ii, the iii, the IV, the V, or the vi. It’s mind boggling.
When you are fishing for a chord to use in your next chord solo arrangement, turn to the Swiss Army Knife chord form. It’s bound to fit in somewhere.
